4–20 mA Engineering-Unit Scaling Calculator
Scale a standard 4–20 mA analogue signal into engineering units using configured lower and upper range values.
Results
Engineering method
The calculation assumes an ideal linear transmitter mapping of 4 mA to the lower range value and 20 mA to the upper range value. It does not replace transmitter characterization, loop diagnostics, live-zero fault handling or safety-system validation.
PV = LRV + ((I − 4 mA) / 16 mA) × (URV − LRV).
