PLC Cycle-Time & Response-Budget Calculator
Combine PLC execution, I/O update and communication times to screen cycle frequency and response-budget utilization.

Engineering method
This simple deterministic budget adds modeled execution, I/O and communication contributions. Real control response can include task scheduling, asynchronous networks, filtering, actuator dynamics and safety logic, so measured worst-case timing remains necessary for final validation.
Cycle time = program scan + I/O update + communication; cycles/s = 1000 / cycle time; response-budget use = cycle time / required response × 100%.
